The trips to the United Arab Emirates were not strictly for pleasure, but the business was pleasurable and the rest and recouperation time allowed many opportunities to see the sights of this diverse country. I was asked to accompany two colleagues to help deliver training to the driving instructors of the largest driving school in Dubai, the Emirates Driving Institute. We first spent two weeks there in December 2007. |

The second trip in January 2008 was for three weeks, first to Fujairah to work with the driving instructors of the Fujairah National Driving Institute ... |

| The trip concluded with a few days well earned holiday with one of my colleagues and our respective partners. We managed to fit most of the main sights of interest into a few days by making use of the Big Red Bus tours to see the important outlying sights of Dubai into one day before spending the evening wandering through the markets of the old town around the creek. We also shared a day learning how to drive in the desert thanks to our colleagues at the Emirates Driving Institute. |
